Camera attachment
These instructions are for attaching the with the DP-Cam3
Attachment requires:
- Camera Plate (DP-CAM3),
- Quick Release Plate (QRP)
- Hardware packet (included with DP-CAM3 plate)Metal washer ⅝" plastic spacers
- One 1/4-20 flat head phillips screw
- One 3/8-16 flat head phillips screw
- Four #8-32 x ¼" flat head screws

Most cameras will have a threaded hole on the underside for mounting:
These holes will be utilized for mounting, either directly to the Camera Plate or a tripod head quick release.
There are several options to implement the Camera Plate (DP-CAM3). You can attach a camera directly to the DP-CAM3, or utilize a commercial Tripod/Monopod head.
Direct attachment
Attach camera plate to camera
The DP-CAM3 comes with two screws and a washer. Use the smaller screw (1/4-20) and the washer to attach the camera.
Thread the screw and washer into the countersunk side of the Camera Plate.
Tighten down to torque. Be careful not to over-torque the screw, as it may damage the camera.
Attach the QRP
Align the camera plate so that the four threaded steel inserts are in line with the lowest four countersunk holes in the QRP AND ensure the camera attachment screw (from Step 1) lines up with the 1/4 hole in the QRP.
Attach the Quick Release Plate using four #8-32 x ¼" flat head screws
Remove the camera
To remove the camera, you should be able to access the attachment screw (from Step 1) with a screwdriver.
Tripod head attachment
These instructions will deal specifically with:
General instructions for comparable tripod heads will be similar.
In this case, the cameras actually will attach to the Heads using a camera quick release plate.
Attach the Camera Plate
Using the larger screw (3/8"-16) screw the tripod head down, and torque it down so it is secure.
Attach the QRP
Using the larger screw (3/8"-16) screw the tripod head down, and torque it down so it is secure.
Attach the Quick Release Plate using four #8-32 x ¼" flat head screws
